Biafrans: He is a hero!

Rolf Steiner is a professional soldier of fortune, born in Munich, Bavaria, Germany on Jnuary 3, 1933. He rose to the rank of lieutenant colonel commanding the 4th Commando Brigade in the Biafran Army during the Nigerian Civil War, and later served with the Anyanya rebels in southern Sudan.

The complete lists of wars he fought in were the First Indochina war, Suez crisis, Algerian war (on the side of the French), Nigeria-Biafra war (on the side of Biafra) and the first Sudanese war (fought on the side of South Sudan and helped Christians of South Sudan to defeat the Muslims of North Sudan).

He wanted to become a Roman Catholic priest but later changed his mind, preferring to become a soldier and a medical doctor.

STEINER is still very much alive and currently lives in Germany.

As said earlier, he was a Lt. Col of the Biafran 4th Commando Brigade. The 4th Commando Brigade was arguably the most elite unit within the Biafran Army. They were known for their Guerilla tactics taught to them by Lt. Col Steiner. He served the Biafran army WITHOUT PAY.

"On May 26, 1968, Steiner through his powerful guerilla method, led his troops to a successful offensive against the Nigerian Airfield in Enugu."-- Rising Sun TV News Article.

Please let the Biafrans say well done to this brave man.
