Body Bag Threat: The Docility Of International Community, Reason For El-Rufai's Threat

Body Bag Threat: The Docility Of International Community, Reason For El-Rufai's Threat

The Kaduna State Islamic Fundamentalist Governor, Malam Nasiru El-Rufai, under the backing of  APC led federal government of Nigeria, has with impunity, openly threatened to kill foreign observers who fail to comply with the orders guiding the forthcoming general elections in the country. The governor made it emphatically clear that all election observers that will contravene guiding laws in the election update reportage, according to international best standards will be sent back
Bodybag
to their respective countries in body bags. This is the height of international threat coming from the Islamic government of Nigeria in recent times. The Nigerian government in it's desperation, is doing everything humanly possible to scare foreign observers away from coming to monitor the elections according to globally spelt out legal requirements.

However, the international community shares in the blame of this murderous threat coming from a Nigerian government principal officer. The brazen cynical docility of the United Nations, European Union, governments of the United States of America, Germany, France, United Kingdom, Russia and Israel, over the senseless/relentless killings of unarmed/peaceful Biafran agitators by the Nigerian government, serves as the propelling force behind such a threat. The international community will most assuredly, descend into irredeemable infamy should the Nigerian government and one of it's frontline radical Islamic fundamentalists, governor Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna State, get away with this disgusting callousness. It will definitely serve as a tacit approval for the Islamic government of Nigeria to unleash with reckless abandon, unprecedented level of violence and mayhem on foreign observers during the elections particularly and thereafter, on Biafrans in general.

The Nigerian government has wittingly and unabatedly committed heinous atrocities against the Biafran people but the world kept looking the other way. This docile stance has emboldened the government to put up plans of killing foreign observers coming to monitor the 16th February 2019 presidential election as scheduled because they firmly believe that the global community lacks the clout to raise incriminating  questions in the event of any misnomer. It is time therefore, for the concerned global players to take drastic, pre-emptive measures to arrest whatever shade of impunity the Nigerian government would want to employ in carrying out acts of lawlessness in the country.

A stitch in time, saves nine!

Human Rights Organizations Should Drag Nasir El-Rufai To The International Criminal Court

Written by Mazi Onyebuchi Eze
9 February 2019

International Human Rights Organizations, should in the light of the murderous threat issued to foreign election observers billed to monitor the upcoming Nigeria presidential election billed for Saturday 16th February 2019, initiate full legal process against Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai at the International Criminal Court of Justice in the Hague. Governor El-Rufai has in his recent television broadcast in Nigeria, threatened that foreign election observers who will fail to comply with APC led Nigerian government's election  guidelines during the presidential contest will be summarily dealt with. Infact, that they will be killed and returned back to their home countries in body bags. This Islamic fundamentalist (jihadist) and shamelessly lawless  political leader of the people of Kaduna State, pointedly stated this in a Nigeria Television Authority (NTA) broadcast, on a program titled "ELECTION WATCH". The broadcast was widely monitored across the world through various platforms on Tuesday 5th February 2019. Now that it has become obviously clear that the Nigerian government is hatching sinister plans of eliminating foreign observers coming to monitor the election, in order to facilitate uninhibited rigging designed to perpetuate the tyrannical regime of the APC cabals under Buhari, it is incumbent therefore, upon International Human Rights Organizations to drag this man to the International Criminal Court (ICC),  before it becomes belated.

It will amount to colossal betrayal and a tacit endorsement of impunity if the International Human Rights Organizations will yet place the notorious sovereignty of Nigeria above the safety and security of visiting foreign election observers. The Nigerian government needs to be questioned over this threat being issued via a national television by a principal officer of the same government. But if not, it will virtually be confirming the height of wickedness and insensitivity of the International Community, International Human Rights Organizations, International Media Organizations and of course, the International Criminal Court, to the well-being of humanity. For an uncivilized, notorious, jihadistically inclined State Governor, to boldly appear before the global audience in a National Television to issue out such a punishable, high profile threat, simply means that the Nigerian government is an accomplice, which has perfected plans to provoke civil unrest that will trigger off the elimination of foreign election observers in the course of the presidential election,   with post-election evaluation tag of "Election Crisis". Any attempt therefore, by the International Community to accord respect to the Nigerian sovereignty in the face of such despicable crime against the world, will embolden and authenticate Nigeria's temerity in unleashing violence and terror against distinguished foreign nationales on legitimate duties.

The global community may have in the time past, maintained silence and passiveness when Biafrans were being kidnapped, tortured, killed and secretly buried enmass in different graves, but to keep quiet and watch the Nigerian Islamic government embark on another wave of gruesome attack against foreign election observers will amount to gross wickedness and betrayal from the International Human Rights Organizations. There is absolutely nothing else anyone should expect from the lawless, despotic and jihadistic governor other than that which he already has said. The global community should not sacrifice the precious lives of the visiting foreign election observers on the altar of respecting the sovereignty of Nigeria. Governor Nasir El-Rufai should be brought to book by the International Human Rights Organizations for this organized arrant desperation to foist their Islamic extremism on everybody. The Nigerian Government and of course, Nasir El-Rufai, must have to be dragged to the International Criminal Court in the Hague, for blatantly threatening pogrom against foreign election observers coming to monitor the Nigerian presidential election. The world is already waiting, watching and hoping that the needful will be instantly effected by the concerned International Authorities especially the Human Rights Organizations.
