Popular Biafra activist, Alhaji Asari Dokubo has lambasted Bayelsa state Governor, Seriake Dickson over the state government's recent approval of grazing land for Fulani herdsmen in Bayelsa state.

Dokubo described the actions of the Seriake Dickson led Bayelsa government as a betrayal of the Ijaw people, a disgrace and an exhibition of cowardice, which was never expected of Dickson and cohorts who attained political power through the massive support and resilience of the people of Bayelsa.

"These people are foreigners on our land," the former Ijaw Youth Council president and leader of the Niger Delta Peoples Volunteer Force noted while speaking during a Radio Biafra live broadcast on Monday February 6, 2017.

"If we kicked out the British from our land, then there is no reason why the Kambaris should be left," he continued.

"We know how they came into our land to subjugate our people through the indirect rule introduced by their British supporters and imperialists who brought them into our land. They started from Kogi in Hausa land, invaded the hausa country, destroying, killing, maiming, raping. They went to Kanuri land, they went to all other places that they invaded, they did not succeed in coming to our land. With the help of the British, and the complacency of our elite class, our political class, our educated class, they allowed them to come into our land.

"Today can you imagine that the first state that allows grazing pastoral land for the Fulani is our own Ijaw state, Bayelsa, that we glorify as the Jerusalem of Ijaw people, as the Zion of Ijaw people. The governor, my friend and my brother who rode on the back of Ijaw sentiment to acquire power, has decided to capitulate, to give out Ijaw people's land to the Kambari, as grazing land. This shows the stark cowardice of our political class. It shows how our political class does not have regard for our people even the suffering.

"In the last Bayelsa state election so many people died making sure APC did not win in Bayelsa, because as far as you are concerned, APC represents and is the arrow head of the Kambari conquest. And the people never quivered, children resisted. The governor having won the election, what did he do? Is to turn back and pay the people with this disgrace!" Dokubo exclaimed.

"So we hear today that Nnamani has joined APC. We hear that Orji Uzor Kalu is campaigning for APC. We hear that Ifeanyi Uba is campaigning for APC. We hear that Andy Uba has gone to APC. These are the disgrace, shameless, characterless political elite we call our leaders.

"They rode on our back, they rode on our sweat and our blood to power, when they get there, they turn around to fight against us. We must reject these political elite, prevent them from continuing to deceive the people. Whether they like it or not, it is not our party, and Buhari hate our people, Buhari kill and maim our people every day.

"Any Biafran, whether he is Igbo, he is Ijaw, he is Efik, he is Ibibio who associate with Buhari, anybody who allow grazing reserve on our land is an enemy of our people, simple, there is no two ways about it.

"Why is it that Ijaw fishermen are not given places to fish in Kano, in Sokoto? Why is it that Ibibio farmers are not given land to farm in Sokoto, in Kano, in Katsina? Why should it be that cattle owned by Kambari Fulani people will be allowed to graze on our land, and our government will be shamefully giving. Our people are farmers, they should be given land to farm. There are no enough land in Ijaw land to farm, so farmland should be preserved for our people all over Nigeria so that Ijaw people can go and farm. There is no wisdom other than cowardice, other than disrespect, other than betrayal of our people," Asari Dokubo fumed.
