Nnamdi Kanu and his Lawyer, Ifeanyi Ejiofor
Early last year, I petitioned the UK parliament on Nnamdi Kanu 's continuous detention, it took only 24hrs for me to get a reply and subsequent approval from them.
As at the time I sent that application, the UK High commission at Abuja had already gotten involved and a representative from the embassy already visited him in detention.
Yet, petition was approved!
Few weeks ago, I sent a petition requesting to know the whereabouts of their citizen.
Apart from the fact that it took them about 6days to reply me, the application was refused on the excuse that they do not understand what I wanted them to do since the High commission is already involved!
It's not new that the British government wouldn't mind conspiring with the Nigeria government because of course they have more to gain in one fake Nigeria than its dismemberment..
I do not understand their sudden coldness to this matter..
Last night, I put up a post requesting for the whereabouts of Nnamdi Kanu and I wasn't surprised at some of the responses I got but thank God for someone who dropped this comment:
"The cerebral Kehinde Nubi captured my mind in this post:
Is it not curious that the Nigerian Police has not issued a 'WANTED NOTICE' on Nnamdi Kanu, considering that he is a fugitive from the law?
The implication of that is that they either know where he is, or what has become of him!
Is the Nigerian State allowed to kidnap or abduct its own citizens?
Is the Nigerian State allowed to assassinate its own citizens rather than bringing them to justice"
Nnamdi Kanu is the tool for revolution that Nigerians missed, he was the man who managed to shake the foundation of this entity called Nigeria. He succeeded in getting his name on the lips of almost every Nigerian; good or bad!
For the first time, Northerners feel threatened. They lost their sleep, jumping from one meeting to another, making one declaration after another.. he was the enemy of every enemies of progress to the people...
Now that we don't know his whereabouts, how many declarations have you heard of? How many meetings has been held! Where are the almighty restructuring teams?
Everything has returned to normal! Normal according to Nigeria standard.. it's okay to come on Facebook to deceive yourself even when you are busy battling with how to feed...
What I'm actually trying to understand is why gradually this whole thing is fading without necessarily achieving what it hoped to achieve..
Again I'll continue to wonder why his followers are calm..
If only they can tell us that truly, Kanu and his entire family including his 82years old father had gone on exile! Let it be clear also that Nnamdi is not in the UK anyway...
He doesn't also appear to me like someone who can be hiding in any country unnoticed...
The most important question however is that, why isn't the Nigeria government declaring him wanted? He was supposed to be in Court last month! He has unfinished business with them, yet they remain unperturbed!
I'm beginning to have a re-think! People, especially Nigerians do not worth dying for...
At least I'm not going to try to
