I have watched as some Igbo men and women are giving accolades to SARAKI for revealing the plan of Tinubu and Buhari to remain in power and exchange baton in 2023.
However they have not thought about what the real problems among these people are.
SARAKI wants to be president after Buhari, Tinubu wants to be president after Buhari, Atiku wants to be president after Buhari and they all are lying to Igbo people that there would be an Igbo president in 2023. Are these people going to become Igbo men in 2023?
The only people not fighting, planning and negotiating for the presidency for 2023 are the Igbo because they believe POWER will be given to them on a plater of gold.
The Igbo leaders self-destroyed the only negotiating power they had when they destroyed and proscribed IPOB instead of taking the agenda off the street, reorganising and repositioning it like NADECO as an instrument of negotiation for presidency.
Just before they killed IPOB and his leader, phone numbers of "IGBO LEADERS" were ringing nonstop from Abuja trying to negotiate settlement but these selfish IGBO LEADERS saw it as an opportunity to negotiate for personal settlement. Some were given fake promises of political appointments and others were promised automatic return tickets to their elective positions.
They joined forces and destroyed what would have been the best shot at negotiating an Igbo presidency.
If you are not on the table, you are definitely on the menu. The Igbo man has by self-action put himself on the menu to be shared and eaten by others on the negotiation table.
Nnamdi Kanu and IPOB may not have got it all right but they presented an agenda one would have thought the so called IGBO LEADERSHIP would have galvanised into a negotiation tool but once again selfishness on their part destroyed it.
Presidency is a very long shot, to hit your target, you must come very close to shoot.
Unless we change our attitude and plan, project a united agenda instead of personal agenda, we will remain on the menu in the NIGERIAN RESTAURANT.
